Rugun is a dedicated environmentalist with a Master’s degree from the Global Sanitation Graduate School (funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) and a Bachelor’s degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology.

She specializes in sustainable water, wastewater, and solid waste management, with expertise in ESG initiatives and carbon emissions reduction.

Her professional journey spans NGOs, consulting firms, and tech startups, where she has led and contributed to impactful projects in sanitation, water management, and carbon accounting.

Currently, she serves as an ESG professional in the public company, MR DIY Indonesia, while continuing to champion safe sanitation as both her passion and professional calling.

Previously the host of FSMA-Aman’s Toilet Tuesday (now FSM-Aman ASA), Rugun integrates technical expertise with community engagement to advance environmental awareness and public health, especi among youth across Indonesia.
