FSM-Aman ASA

ASA (formerly known as “Toilet Tuesday”) is an initiative that creates a space for young people to discuss and design solutions to improve urban sanitation in their communities. Through casual and interactive gatherings, participants can share ideas, exchange insights, and develop concrete proposals to be submitted to city governments.
The Water Recycling Unit (WRU) is an innovative wastewater treatment technology specifically designed to recycle domestic wastewater from toilets into reusable water, suitable for purposes like toilet flushing. This technology provides a practical solution to reduce groundwater or municipal water (PDAM) consumption, especially in areas with limited access to clean water. Implementing WRU has proven to reduce daily clean water usage by 30-40%, optimizing water resource utilization efficiently. By adopting WRU, not only can water consumption be significantly reduced, but it also fosters a more sustainable future that is responsive to the global clean water crisis.
